I'm listening to this now while working on homework. I was like, damn this is some awesome stuff he's doing, especially with the melody instrument at around 0:47 — better go vote on it — oh wait, I already did!

Anyway, the whole thing really reminds me of VVVVVV. Must be a Swedish thing :3

Well, the Nordic countries where heavy in to the Scene. Especially Finland.

Me personally, I'm self taught, but you could almost call my style "a bit Swedish" since I rarely hear tunage similar to mine. :)

Although it started out as an "homage to NES" it sounds slightly more like C-64 but it is overwhelmingly Fakebit. All samples, save one, from an old XM of mine :)

All samples are "stereofied" and converted to Hi-Def, some resampled, but all based on chipped instruments I drew in FT2 about 15 years ago ;)

The 1st few seconds immediately brought Shadow of the Beast for Atari Lynx to my mind. Good memories. Cool track man. : )

Can't say I know of "Shadow of the Beast", but my style is very "gamey" and based in C-64 and Amiga music which of course, even due to severe rivalry, had some musical crossover with Atari. That I sometimes hit some combination of notes reminding of something else isn't all that strange ;)
